It’s available in standard, plush, and ultra plush models, with up to 17 layers of organic certified latex, alpaca, wool, silk, and hemp, married to up to 2,419 individually-wrapped coils arranged in seven supportive zones. The list of certified organic materials is impressive: up to 4 inches of GOLS-certified organic latex from our rubber farms, organic wool from our farmers, 2 inches of natural alpaca, natural silk, organic hemp fiber, recycled steel coils, and, of course, organic cotton. You will not find a more plush, luxurious, certified organic mattress — at any price, anywhere.

With two responsive innerspring units and 2,419 individually encased coils, our plushest mattress effortlessly adapts and conforms to your body’s natural curves.
Needle Tufted by Hand
Avocado mattresses feature our distinctive, soft, needle-tufted rosettes made from pure white organic wool. Needle-tufting is a time-honored technique dating back to the 17th century. It’s also highly functional. We bind the layers together by pulling ribbons through the entire mattress in up to 32 locations — without using solvent or water-based adhesives. It radically improves durability. And it's a hallmark of quality.
Higher Standards
The Organic Luxury Mattress meets the Organic Content Standard, GREENGUARD Gold, and MADE SAFE standards. The latex meets FSC®, eco-INSTITUT® label, and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® standards. We are a Certified B Corporation awarded "Best for the World." We donate 1% of all revenue to 1% for the Planet. And every scope of our business is Climate Neutral Certified®.

GOTS-certified organic wool , sourced ethically from our farms in the Himalayas and cleaned mechanically without chemicals in our facility in India. Our wool is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on, and the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® non-toxic certification (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI).

2" of GOLS-certified organic soft, Dunlop natural latex, made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with eco-INSTIUT® label, FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications. Sourced from India and Guatemala, from our farms and organic certified processing facilities. This latex layer is contour cut in a patented design, featuring three zones of body contouring support.

Core and Base Layers
A 3” micro-coil innerspring unit, encased in a food-grade polypropylene fabric (non-woven and non-toxic), with up to 960 individually wrapped springs, for durability without sagging or settling, and to minimize roll-together and isolate motion
Soft GOTS-certified organic wool, blended with cotton and natural silk
2" of GOL-certified organic certified, soft Dunlop natural latex (D65/14-19ILD), made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with the eco-INSTITUT® label and FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications. Sourced from India and Guatemala, from our own farms and organic certified processing facilities.
8" innerspring unit, encased in a food-grade polypropylene fabric (non-woven and non-toxic), with up to 1,459 fabric-encased coils made from recycled steel in 3 wire gauges that move independently and are arranged in 7 ergonomic zones, with a reinforced steel perimeter for edge support.

Handles, Tufts and Details
Reinforced handles are 10 inches long and made with GOTS-certified organic cotton, sourced from Canada, made in 2 layers for durability and strength. No synthetic yarns are used. Tuft rosettes attached to a woven tape made from GOTS-certified organic cotton eliminate the need for glues, as the Luxury Plush Mattress is tufted with steel needles by hand in up to 32 locations, depending on size. Rosettes are made with certified organic wool sourced from the United States. Our closing woven tape is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton sourced from Canada. Recyclable, aluminum, bull-hook staples are used instead of glue to bind the interior perimeter to latex. Our green embroidery thread used for our logo is even STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified as non-toxic. Handles are intended to help you rotate the mattress only. Do not attempt to transport the mattress by using the handles.
No Flame Retardants
No flame retardants of any kind are used. Our Luxury Plush Mattress meets all safety standards by only using GOTS-certified organic wool and densely packed natural fibers. No other chemical treatments, rayon blends, or fiberglass fiber fire socks are used.
Climate Neutral Certified
As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.
25 Year Limited Warranty
Years 1 - 10: Full coverage, Non-Prorated. Years 11-25: Limited Coverage, Prorated. A great mattress provides comfort and proper support for your back by conforming to your unique body shape. Since people usually sleep in the same area of the mattress every night, the natural and organic comfort layers tend to be compressed in the same areas. In a plush mattress, this may result in a natural body impression, up to 2 inches, which is not to be confused with a sagging or defective mattress. Regular mattress rotation will minimize body impressions.
